ALEJANDRO “ALEX” PADUA
founded Padua Law Firm in 2007 and has represented clients in a wide array of legal matters. His clients range from individuals to multi-national businesses, both domestic and foreign. Recently, Alex’s legal work includes the successful closing of a $30,000,000 “Sale and Leaseback”
financing transaction for the development and construction of a senior housing facility, the representation of individuals and families who have suffered tragic catastrophic personal injuries and death, the private placement of equity securities of a very successful Houston area Cajun food restaurant, and the defense of property owners in eminent domain proceedings. Alex also serves as general counsel for Padua Realty Company, a family-owned real estate investment and development firm, providing transactional and business/corporate law advice. Alex’s experience as an attorney, as well as his experience as an executive and principal in various businesses, provides him with a unique perspective into the complexities of running a business and the ability to successfully overcome and protect against challenges businesses constantly face.
Alex was born in Mexico City and became a Houstonian in 1988 after his family moved to Texas. Alex earned a B.B.A. in Finance from University of Texas in Austin and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. Alex is fully bi-cultural and bilingual which allows him to efficiently provide quality legal services to a diverse client base ranging from large foreign businesses involved in complex, cross-border commercial matters to Hispanic individuals and families who have suffered tragic losses.
